{"id":8102,"date":"2013-07-08T23:26:17","date_gmt":"2013-07-08T23:26:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cloudcomputing-news.net\/news\/2013\/jul\/09\/microsoft-report-shows-channel-partner-success-selling-cloud\/"},"modified":"2013-07-08T23:26:17","modified_gmt":"2013-07-08T23:26:17","slug":"microsoft-report-shows-channel-partner-success-in-selling-cloud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icloud.pe\/blog\/microsoft-report-shows-channel-partner-success-in-selling-cloud\/","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft report shows channel partner success in selling cloud"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft has had a lot to say in terms of cloud computing developments in recent months, and this latest report in association with IDC may come as no surprise: channel partners who have more than 50% of revenue in cloud are experiencing major payoffs in business growth.<\/p>\n<p>The report surfaced at the company&rsquo;s Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC13) in Houston, and found that cloud partners perform better in various KPIs; revenue per employee, higher gross profit, higher customer acquisition, and of course faster growth.<\/p>\n<p>But how many partners are there? The stats from the opening day&rsquo;s play at WPC13, as <em>The VAR Guy<\/em> reports, were impressive.<\/p>\n<p>3.2m businesses currently use Office 365; 150,000 partners worldwide are able to sell Office 365 and Microsoft cloud services. Over the past 12 months, 22,000 partners did sell Microsoft public cloud services &ndash; certainly impressive figures.
