{"id":7259,"date":"2013-05-02T14:26:00","date_gmt":"2013-05-02T14:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cloudcomputing.sys-con.com\/node\/2642326"},"modified":"2013-05-02T14:26:00","modified_gmt":"2013-05-02T14:26:00","slug":"intel-names-krzanich-ceo-james-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icloud.pe\/blog\/intel-names-krzanich-ceo-james-president\/","title":{"rendered":"Intel Names Krzanich CEO; James President"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The company said Thursday morning that the board had unanimously picked Intel COO Brian Krzanich to replace Otellini, who in a surprise move decided to step down early a few months ago apparently with the taste of failure in his mouth given the market\u2019s rejection of the desktop and Intel\u2019s lack of position in mobile.<br \/>\nIntel also did something historic and split Otellini\u2019s CEO and presidential roles apart, naming Ren\u00e9e James its first woman president and CEO heir presumptive.<br \/>\nThe pair will take up their new jobs on May 16, the date of company\u2019s annual stockholders\u2019 meeting.<br \/>\nKrzanich, 52, was named COO in January of 2012.
