Salesforce<\/a>-owned MuleSoft<\/span> has announced it will buy robotic process automation<\/a> (RPA<\/span>) company Servicetrace<\/span> for an undisclosed amount.<\/p>\n

The acquisition will complement MuleSoft’s<\/span> application composition platform, explained executives.<\/p>\n

MuleSoft<\/span> sells Anypoint<\/span>, an application programming interface (API)<\/a> development platform for building reusable connections between applications and data so developers can compose applications more easily. Salesforce acquired MuleSoft<\/span> in 2018.<\/p>\n

Servicetrace<\/span> offers the XceleratorOne<\/span> RPA<\/span> tool. RPA<\/span> helps companies to automate<\/a> manual processes by copying human activities, cutting down on manual labour<\/span> and human error.<\/p>\n

The Servicetrace<\/span> tool enables companies to identify processes that would benefit from RPA<\/span> and model them for automation. Servicetrace<\/span> says that the tool can automate long, complex processes and connect artificial intelligence (AI)<\/a> solutions for automated decisions. It also organises<\/span> those automations across a company and enables managers to assess the return on investment from automated processes.<\/p>\n

The RPA<\/span> product will integrate with Salesforce’s Einstein Automate solution, which already handles automation tasks for the company’s clients.<\/p>\n

“Our platform makes it easy to unlock and integrate data from anywhere \u2014 wherever it resides \u2014 and manage, monitor, secure, and govern that data at scale,” said MuleSoft<\/span> CEO Brent Hayward in an announcement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“MuleSoft<\/span> will now also make it easy for line of business and knowledge workers to automate business processes and dramatically increase efficiency and speed.”<\/p>\n

Servicetrace<\/span> also offers automated software testing tools and application performance monitoring<\/a> tools that use bots to monitor users’ experience across complex software architectures.<\/p>\n
