Instead, customers will be charged at the normal discounted rate they\u2019ve negotiated for their expected cloud usage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><\/p>\n<p><!--wysiwyg_see-related_plugin--><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;With this billing model, you commit to spend a certain amount on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cloudpro.co.uk\/cloud-essentials\/hybrid-cloud\/8781\/ibm-to-spin-off-infrastructure-business-as-it-goes-all-in-on\" >IBM Cloud<\/a> and you also receive discounts across the Cloud platform,\u201d said Amit Patel, offering management, direct sales and Haley Lucey, IBM cloud content experience.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>&#8220;You are billed monthly based on your usage, and unlike a subscription, you continue to receive a discount even after you reach your yearly committed amount.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>The change comes after another mixed round of financial results for the computing giant, with a 10% surge in cloud growth overshadowed by the sharpest overall revenue decline in five years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>IBM&#8217;s cloud business <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.co.uk\/business\/business-operations\/358403\/ibm-revenues-continue-to-fall\" ><span>earned $7.5 billion during Q4<\/span><\/a><span>, with revenue from Red Hat also increasing by 19%.
