{"id":41443,"date":"2020-10-14T11:52:48","date_gmt":"2020-10-14T11:52:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/icloud.pe\/blog\/?guid=45e4f95c6620b6bdd86e40eb99ba2bd8"},"modified":"2020-10-14T11:52:48","modified_gmt":"2020-10-14T11:52:48","slug":"ibm-updates-cloud-pak-with-industry-first-security-tools-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icloud.pe\/blog\/ibm-updates-cloud-pak-with-industry-first-security-tools-2\/","title":{"rendered":"IBM updates Cloud Pak with \u2018industry-first\u2019 security tools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"field field-name-field-author field-type-node-reference field-label-hidden\"><br \/>\n      <span class=\"field-item even\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cloudpro.co.uk\/authors\/sabina-weston\">Sabina Weston<\/a><\/span><br \/>\n  <\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-published-date field-type-datetime field-label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\"><span class=\"date-display-single\">14 Oct, 2020<\/span><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"short-teaser\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cloudpro.co.uk\/\" title=\"\" class=\"combined-link\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"field field-name-body\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cloudpro.co.uk\/ibm\" >IBM<\/a> has announced updated capabilities for its Cloud Pak for Security platform, including an &#8220;industry-first&#8221; built-in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cloudpro.co.uk\/data-security\" >data security<\/a> hub.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Launched almost a year ago, Cloud Pak for Security focuses on delivering security solutions for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cloudpro.co.uk\/tags\/multi-cloud\" >multi-cloud<\/a> and hybrid environments.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">IBM has announced that the platform will soon receive a new\u00a0built-in data <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cloudpro.co.uk\/security\" >security<\/a> hub which aims to provide analysts with additional <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cloudpro.co.uk\/insight\" >insight<\/a> on the location of their sensitive data across hybrid cloud environments.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This &#8220;industry-first&#8221; tool will also show who has access to it, how it is used, and the best way to protect, and will facilitate data breach responses which, according to a new report by The Ponemon Institute and IBM Security, currently take over six months to identify and contain.<\/p>\n<p>IBM also announced that Cloud Pak for Security will soon feature pre-built integrations for five additional threat intelligence feeds from third-party sources: AlienVault OTX, Cisco Threatgrid, MaxMind Geolocation, SANS Internet StormCenter, and Virustotal. This list is expected to be expanded further as early as 2021.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>Additionally, IBM announced the launch of new dedicated security services that will aid organisations in updating their security operations using Cloud Pak for Security.
