\nS3 Backup<\/a> is a powerful Windows program that automate backup and restore
\nprocesses to Amazon S3<\/a> cloud storage. <\/div>\n

\nWith the latest release you can configure Pre- and Post actions<\/b>
\nthat will run before and after the actual backup is running. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThis feature will make it easier to back up applications
\nsuch as SQL Server and Exchange. You can set up a Pre-action to back up SQL
\nServer and then you can set up a POST action to clean up the SQL Server backup
\ndirectory from the older backup files.  <\/div>\n
\nTo set up Pre\/Post action just go to the separate step of
\nthe backup wizard and select the corresponding scripts. <\/div>\n

\nYou have an option to exit backup plan if pre-action fails
\nor continue backup in regardless of the results.  you can also run the post-action only if a backup
\nhas successfully completed or in any cases. <\/div>\n

Backing up MS SQL Server<\/h3>\n

\nyou can now back up SQL Server using the pre-action and then
\nconfigure the backup plan to copy the SQL Server .BAK files over to the cloud
\nstorage . To do that you can run one of the following command as a pre-action. <\/div>\n
\n1) using a script
\nstored in *.sql file<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nspecify <\/span>sqlcmd -S . -i “c:\\sqlcmd-backup-script.sql”<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n2) using osql<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n“C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft SQL
\nServer\\90\\Tools\\Binn\\osql.exe”<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
