{"id":15191,"date":"2015-06-11T13:14:16","date_gmt":"2015-06-11T13:14:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.businesscloudnews.com\/?p=227902"},"modified":"2015-06-11T13:14:16","modified_gmt":"2015-06-11T13:14:16","slug":"citizens-bank-signs-5-year-managed-services-deal-with-ibm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icloud.pe\/blog\/citizens-bank-signs-5-year-managed-services-deal-with-ibm\/","title":{"rendered":"Citizens Bank signs 5-year managed services deal with IBM"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_227912\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\" style=\"width: 310px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.businesscloudnews.com\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/122\/files\/2015\/06\/Citizens-Bank.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-227912\" alt=\"Citizens Bank has tapped IBM for a managed services deal\" src=\"http:\/\/www.businesscloudnews.com\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/122\/files\/2015\/06\/Citizens-Bank-300x215.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"215\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Citizens Bank has tapped IBM in a managed services deal<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Citizens Bank is moving its back-end technology infrastructure to a managed services environment following the signing of \u00a0a five-year IT services agreement with IBM.<\/p>\n<p>Using a hybrid IT approach, IBM will optimise the bank\u2019s existing IT infrastructure by integrating automation and predictive\u00a0analytics\u00a0technologies to standardise and streamline many of its internal IT systems and processes, including core banking applications, branch operations and online and mobile banking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInformation technology plays a key role in our ability to anticipate and meet the needs of every customer, across every channel,\u201d said Ken Starkey, chief technology officer, infrastructure services, Citizens Bank. \u201cThis agreement with IBM will provide immediate access to new technologies and capabilities, enabling us to create greater efficiencies in support of Citizens\u2019 growth objectives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Under the contract, IBM will operate Citizens\u2019 existing and future IT systems located in the bank\u2019s data centres in Rhode Island and North Carolina. The bank already uses IBM systems and technologies.
