{"id":13590,"date":"2015-04-14T09:14:32","date_gmt":"2015-04-14T09:14:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.businesscloudnews.com\/?p=221952"},"modified":"2015-04-14T09:14:32","modified_gmt":"2015-04-14T09:14:32","slug":"box-hires-ex-microsoft-exec-to-bolster-business-in-france","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icloud.pe\/blog\/box-hires-ex-microsoft-exec-to-bolster-business-in-france\/","title":{"rendered":"Box hires ex-Microsoft exec to bolster business in France"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_221962\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\" style=\"width: 310px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-221962\" alt=\"Jeremy Grinbaum,  regional vice president for France and southern Europe, Box\" src=\"http:\/\/www.businesscloudnews.com\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/122\/files\/2015\/04\/Jeremy-Grinbaum-300x300.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jeremy Grinbaum, regional vice president for France and southern Europe, Box<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Box has hired former Microsoft cloud sales exec Jeremy Grinbaum to lead the company\u2019s commercial expansion efforts in France and southern Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Grinbaum, who will be based in Box\u2019s Paris office, has been broad on board as regional vice president for France and southern Europe\u00a0to drive the cloud storage incumbent\u2019s business in the region, which includes setting up a local sales team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are seeing significant traction in France and southern Europe as businesses in these regions begin to adopt cloud systems to drive efficiency and collaboration,\u201d said David Quantrell, senior vice president and general manager of EMEA at Box.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to accelerate our growth in southern Europe, and Jeremy\u2019s leadership and expertise are exactly what we need to drive the adoption of Box\u2019s content and collaboration platform.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Before joining Box Grinbaum spent the past few years as a senior sales executive at Microsoft, focusing on the company\u2019s cloud services including Yammer and Office 265. He founded a cloud-based collaboration start up in 2007, PersonAll, and has also held senior sales roles at Google, IBM, and TRSB.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrance and southern Europe are moving quickly in the adoption of new technologies. Enterprises are looking for solutions that will allow them to move off of expensive, legacy architecture and create more agile and iterative environments for employees,\u201d Grinbaum said. \u201cI am excited to join this innovative company and play a role in helping organizations transform the way they work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last month Box revealed its quarterly results to the public for the first time, which showed promise. Billings in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015 were $82m, a 33 per cent year on year increase.
